Testing Parts Before Full Installation
NOTE : ALWAYS DO A TEST RUN BEFORE DOING A FULL INSTALLATION. We have many customers who do a FULL Install then to find out the part has a dead spot or some other issue. This is the wrong thing to do.
REMEMBER: Always test your part before doing a FULL INSTALL. Don't be lazy by doing a FULL INSTALL without testing beforehand to make sure the part is working 100% . Failure to test will result in wasted time. You have been warned.
IMPORTANT: Keep in mind that the part doesn't need to be in position to test it(as seen in the video). As long as the connectors(ribbon/flex cable) is connected you can do the test before doing a FULL Installation. See the videos below for examples.
This below video will explain how to test a iPhone 4 Screen before completely installing the phone back together. The video shows how you test an iPhone 4 screen, but apply this example to test ANY digitizer and LCD screens for any type of phone.
Below video is an example of iPod Touch Digitizer test. Remember the digitizer DOES NOT need to be placed over the LCD screen. Only the ribbon/flex cable connector needs to be connected so that you can do the test.
